Beaver Brook Association invites the public to our 38th  Annual Fall Festival & Art Show.  Artwork by dozens of regional artists will be on display September 29 and 30  from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm at Maple Hill Farm, 117 Ridge Road, Hollis.  The featured artist this year is Ken Harvey.

During the two day festival there will be many opportunities to get up close and personal with animals and nature.  On Saturday, September 29, Julie Collier and Jim Parks of Wingmasters will present “Live Birds of Prey” from 2-2:50 pm and 4-4:50 pm.  Wingmasters is ‘dedicated to increasing public understanding and appreciation of North American birds of prey’. For more information visit

Also on Saturday at 11:00 am Wildlife Encounters offers a live animal show featuring a selection of amazing animals that you may never have encountered before.

On Sunday, September 30, Eyes on Owls presents from 1-2 pm and 3-4 pm.  Everyone will participate in a hooting lesson and learn tips on how to attract and protect owls near you.  While the selection of live owls varies, chances are you will meet New England’s tiniest owl, the Northern Saw-Whet Owl (weighing in at 4 ounces) along with the world’s largest owl, the Eurasian Eagle Owl (check out that five foot wingspan!). Other species that figure prominently in this program include Eastern Screech Owl, Barred Owl, Barn Owl, Great-horned Owl, Snowy Owl and Spectacled Owl.  For more information visit their website

The Carriage Shack Farm from Londonderry NH will be bringing its petting farm both days. They offer an opportunity for everyone to learn, interact with and enjoy the adorable assortment of clean, friendly farm animals such as potbelly pig, rabbits, ducks, etc. Check out their website

There will be live music provided by a  number of local musicians throughout the weekend.

Beaver Brook is calling for artists to make this event special.  All original artwork by both amateurs and professionals is eligible.  The accent of the artwork should be on New England settings but art reflecting a nature theme elsewhere in North America may be included.  Beaver Brook will be accepting artwork from September 21 – September 24.  If you are interested in displaying your work at the Fall Festival Call for Artists Brochure 2018 and fill out the  Art Entry Form.   There is also a children’s art exhibit in the historic Cooper Shed and we encourage children of all age groups to submit their nature art.
