Maple Hill Gardens

This area used to have a reflecting pool; due to the high maintenance of that pool, it was discontinued, and a Shade Garden was designed and implemented by Doug Gagne, a local landscape architect, and part-time horticulturalist at Beaver Brook in 1992.

The Shade Garden is surrounded by a variety of Hostas and Ferns, Rhododendrons, and a Japanese Maple. A large rock sits in the middle of this garden; with all its greenery, The Shade Garden is a soothing place to sit and reflect anytime of the year.
