The West Bank used to be known as 'the orphanage' since it was composed of plants that were leftover, after all the other plants had been placed in the gardens at Maple Hill. Many of the plants placed in this garden years ago (from 1985 on), still thrive. Though useful for storing replacements and backups, it is next in line for renovation.
Hostas and Creeping Phlox are two examples of the plants in The West Bank. When you visit Maple Hill Gardens, take a close look at The West Bank garden; perhaps you will gain some ideas for an orphanage in your own back yard.
