Description: Join a naturalist for an easy to moderate guided hike at Beaver Brook's new Whaleback property and trails. It is thick with laurel in some areas and we hope that laurel will be blooming for this hike! There are many little overlooks and historic spots on this trail. Come check it out with us. Bring bug spray and a water bottle.

Groundhog Day --Midwinter Celebration

Description: For families with youngsters.
Come enjoy a puppet show about New England Wildlife "Get Ready for Winter" which teaches about migration, hibernation and adaptation needed to survive winter. The main character, the Woodchuck, attempts to skip hibernating this winter. See what happens! After looking over some real animal mounts, furs and tracks, we'll head out for a hike on the trails at Beaver Brook to find evidence of animal activities in winter. Return to the farm for soup and grilled cheese lunch. $10 per person includes refreshments.
