Job Description for Trail Monitors

Do you have a favorite trail that you walk often? Then becoming a Trail Monitor might be a natural for you! Trail Monitors walk one designated trail at least once monthly to monitor trail conditions including fallen trees or limbs, water damage or problems, and markers. The goal is to recognize emerging problems so that they can be addressed quickly. After walking your designated trail once a month you would report your findings to the Beaver Brook office. Trail Monitors are NOT required to participate in activities requiring physical labor.

ALSO NEEDED:  Keeper of the Kiosks! Adopt one or more kiosks on your favorite trails and we’ll supply you with a key, posters and thumbtacks so you can keep visitors updated on what’s happening at Beaver Brook.
