What’s new for 2025? We’ve updated and simplified our membership levels, added benefits and are now offering the ability to become sustaining members through auto-renewal each year. In addition to new benefits, we’re promising our members new and improved communications, from events and news to renewal reminders.

What are the different levels? Individual Memberships are for one person. Family memberships are for a household. Photographer memberships are for professional photographers who come to Beaver Brook to take pictures (photographer members can learn more here).

What if I’m an active member but don’t want to miss out on the perks of a membership drive? No problem! We would love for you to pledge to renew as a member today. Just send an email to Erin at ekennedy@bbanature.org and we’ll take care of the rest.

What is a sustaining member and how do I become one? Sustaining members opt-in to automatic annual renewals by checking the box at checkout. The online membership sing-up will automatically default to “annually renew”.  Just leave the box checked and you’re done!

What are the changes to benefits?

• Early access to Summer Camp registration will only be available to our Sustaining Family and Photographer level members
• Free on-site snowshoe and nature exploration kit rentals
• Invitations to member only events
• Regular email updates

Why are sustaining members important to Beaver Brook? Sustaining members provide consistent financial support that enables us to plan a reliable budget, supporting mission-critical efforts such as conservation land management and nature education programs. This financial backing forms the bedrock of our organization, embodying community support for BBA and strengthening our position in grant-writing and other fundraising initiatives. The convenience and efficiency of becoming a sustaining member eliminates gaps in benefits, saving resources on office time, postage, and staff efforts. Additionally, sustaining members enhance our organization’s reputation and importance regionally. Our strong membership base acts as a calling card, reflecting the community’s commitment to our mission and the pride we carry into our outreach efforts.

I make annual donations, does that mean I am a member? Thank you for supporting us! Like memberships, donations during fundraisers are critical to our operations, and help us in different ways. General donations are different than becoming a member – both are important! Our members, especially those who auto-renew, give us a level of stability we can count on and receive benefits in return.

I’m renewing my membership, should I do that using this online form? Absolutely. We monitor memberships closely and will ensure everything matches up on our end. We’ll reach out if there’s anything we need to adjust or let you know.
